Bank CIMB Niaga  is one of the notable private banks in Indonesia. Consecutively in two years, 2001 and 2002, Bank CIMB Niaga was elected as one of Public Listed Company for conduct The Best Good Corporate Governance as well as the Best Services Bank. Furthermore Bank Niaga is also the pioneer of the private Custodian Bank and the only bank who obtained ISO 9002 in June 2002.

In the year of 2002, Bank CIMB Niaga has upgraded its services so that all its clients can enjoy 24 hours banking services through the varieties of networking, such as branch networks, kiostronik, ATM, phone banking, TV Banking, internet banking and mobile banking. In 2003, it obtained a Platinum Award of 2003 for The Best Trade Bank in South East Asian 2003.

In December 14th, 2000, Bank CIMB Niaga signed an agreement with Indonesian Derivatives Clearing House as a Depository Bank for Margin, Compensation fund and Security Deposit, with preliminary recommendation obtained from Bank of Indonesia on June 9th 2000 and approval from CoFTRA as the highest regulator at the Futures Derivative Industry on December 8th, 2000. This Agreement is then lengthened on December 15th, 2003.
